This is a full-time position responsible for performing a variety of daily office and clinical functions at Mount Desert Island Hospital. The successful candidate will efficiently and accurately perform all front office duties, providing quality healthcare in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect assistance to healthcare providers to care for patients.
- Perform front office duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Assist with clinical tasks, such as preparing patients for exams and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical office experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with distressed or anxious patients or family members.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
This position may involve exposure to infectious diseases and general office work hazards. The successful candidate must be able to sit, stand, and walk for up to eight hours per day and perform under stress.
