Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Engineer to join our team as a New York Division Team Leader in Structure Inspection within Engineering Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and managing structural and safety inspections of bridges, overhead signs, and other infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and manage structural and safety inspections of bridges, overhead signs, and other infrastructure
  • Complete field inspections in accordance with National Bridge Inspection Standards and NYSTA policies
  • Access structures via various methods, including ladders, platforms, and aerial lifts
  • Generate structure inspection reports and compile schedules
  • Coordinate traffic control and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a New York State Professional Engineer's license and current registration, as well as a qualifying bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field. Additionally, the candidate should have one year of full-time qualifying engineering experience with transportation projects related to highways, railroads, bridges, airports, waterways, building structures, or traffic management and safety systems.
