Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Weston & Sampson. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing proposals, technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of geotechnical engineering properties of soil/rock, geotechnical analyses including slope stability, settlement, and soil/structure interaction.
- Development of appropriate foundation and site-related geotechnical recommendations.
- Field experience associated with subsurface investigations and foundation construction.
- Dam safety engineering, seepage analyses, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling related to dams.
Requirements:
- MS Degree with a concentration in Geotechnical Engineering.
- MA and other NE state P.E. license(s) or ability to obtain within one year.
- Dam safety experience is a plus.
- Familiar with geotechnical aspects of Building Codes and Design Manuals.
- Experience with geotechnical field investigations, construction observation, determining geotechnical engineering properties of soil/rock.
- Geotechnical analyses including slope stability, settlement, and soil/structure interaction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated, responsible, dedicated, and dependable.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- AutoCAD experience.
