Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Weston & Sampson. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing proposals, technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of geotechnical engineering properties of soil/rock, geotechnical analyses including slope stability, settlement, and soil/structure interaction.
• Development of appropriate foundation and site-related geotechnical recommendations.
• Field experience associated with subsurface investigations and foundation construction.
• Dam safety engineering, seepage analyses, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling related to dams.

Requirements:

• MS Degree with a concentration in Geotechnical Engineering.
• MA and other NE state P.E. license(s) or ability to obtain within one year.
• Dam safety experience is a plus.
• Familiar with geotechnical aspects of Building Codes and Design Manuals.
• Experience with geotechnical field investigations, construction observation, determining geotechnical engineering properties of soil/rock.
• Geotechnical analyses including slope stability, settlement, and soil/structure interaction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly motivated, responsible, dedicated, and dependable.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• AutoCAD experience.
