Position Overview:

Barton & Loguidice is currently seeking a qualified individual for the role of Resident Engineer (NICET IV) to support various transportation initiatives. This position involves overseeing and documenting construction activities for infrastructure projects.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections and maintain detailed records of daily construction operations.
  • Prepare daily logs and inspection reports, along with weekly progress summaries.
  • Measure and record quantities of materials utilized and work completed.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly payment requests.
  • Review and assess claims for additional work and change order expenses.
  • Facilitate coordination among utilities and stakeholders.
  • Interpret contract documents and specifications accurately.
  • Support collaboration between the project owner, contractors, and governmental entities.

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess experience in highway, bridge, paving, and drainage inspections. Familiarity with NYSDOT specifications and MURK procedures is essential. Proficiency in basic computer skills is required to effectively use construction management software. We encourage applications from recent retirees of Public Works, NYS Thruway, and DOT.


Compensation:

The estimated pay range for this position is $45-60 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant work experience, geographic location, market conditions, educational background, certifications, and other qualifications.
