Job Title: Senior Manager, AI Engineering

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, AI Engineering to join our team at Capital One. As a Senior Manager, AI Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered products that change how our associates work and how our customers interact with Capital One.

Key Responsibilities:

* Partner with a cross-functional team of engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products
* Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of AI software components
* Make high judgment build-vs-buy decisions across a broad stack of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies
* Invent and introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques to improve the performance - scalability, cost, latency, throughput - of large scale production AI systems

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or AI plus at least 6 years of experience developing or leading AI and ML algorithms or technologies
* At least 1 year of people leadership experience
* 3 years of experience managing and leading an engineering team
* 6 years of experience deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms
