Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Worker to join our team at the State of New Mexico. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform maintenance and repair tasks as assigned or in response to emergency calls from authorized personnel.
- Maintain and repair irrigation systems to ensure efficient water use and optimal plant growth.
- Install and/or maintain various types of motors, circuit breakers, switches, and other electrical equipment.
- Perform landscape and grounds maintenance tasks as assigned, including mowing, pruning, and fertilizing.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of maintenance and repair principles, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You will also need to be physically able to perform the duties of the job, which may include lifting, bending, and working at heights.
