We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to conduct medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
This role is responsible for reviewing medical records electronically through a web portal and performing focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran. The candidate will document exam findings required by the VA through the web portal. It's essential to note that the Nurse Practitioner does not make disability determinations; this is made by the United States Veterans Administration.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, able to review data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions. Time management skills are also crucial, with an average of 3-5 patients per day. The successful candidate must hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and be proficient in computer use.
Key Requirements:
* Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license
* Meets credentialing requirements set forth by the VA
Benefits:
* Training and continued support provided
* Health Insurance options available
* Computer supplied
* Typical day: 3 to 5 patients a day
This is an exciting opportunity to serve the Veteran community while working a set schedule during normal business hours without any on-call responsibilities. All work is performed in a clinical setting. A competitive salary of approximately $85,000 per year reflects the importance of this role.
