Job Title: CDL Class A Shuttle Truck Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CDL Class A Shuttle Truck Driver to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a Shuttle Driver, you will play a vital role in the operation of our business by transporting empty trailers to our warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading food distributor and contribute to the success of our company.

Responsibilities:

  • Transport empty trailers to our warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations.
  • Perform all required safety checks, including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer, and report any safety issues or repairs required.
  • Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 12 months commercial driving experience.
  • Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
