Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Trinity Health Michigan. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and develop individualized respiratory care plans for patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatric patients.
  • Administer and monitor aerosolized medication treatments, aerosol and humidification therapies, and oxygen therapies using various modalities.
  • Perform bronchial hygiene airway suctioning techniques and respond to CODE BLUE calls, providing basic life support maneuvers and assisting with intubation, ventilation, and transport.
  • Maintain and monitor continuous life support systems to ensure proper function and therapeutic effectiveness.
  • Draw arterial blood gases, review results, and direct them to the attention of physicians.
  • Monitor respiratory parameters and perform other related duties, such as chest physiotherapy, sputum collection, and PPD testing.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • RRT certificate credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Two years of experience in acute care settings, with orientation training in respiratory care equipment and its operation.
