About the Role:
Trinity Health is seeking a qualified Medical Physicist to enhance our accredited Radiation Oncology team, which includes a diverse group of Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Medical Dosimetrists, and Radiation Therapists.
Our facilities operate independently, yet our physics team collaborates on special initiatives and provides mutual support as needed.
Qualified candidates should possess a Master’s or Doctorate in Medical Physics and hold or be eligible for American Board of Radiology certification (or equivalent), with the expectation of achieving certification within three years of employment.
Our Radiation Oncology Departments are equipped with advanced technology, including multiple Varian TrueBeams and CyberKnife systems, alongside dedicated imaging and treatment planning resources.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and executing the Radiation Oncology Quality Assurance program.
- Ensuring adherence to all radiation safety protocols and regulations.
- Conducting quality control assessments and overseeing treatment plans for accurate delivery.
- Assisting in the evaluation and acquisition of new technologies.
- Developing and implementing innovative treatment methodologies.
- Participating in clinical research initiatives.
- Collaborating with Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, and Therapists to guarantee safe and effective patient care.
