Job Summary:
This position plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care throughout the nursing areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatching services, and accurately documenting services. Additionally, they will provide observer services for patients who require constant observation to ensure their safety. The individual will also perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.

Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor and report patient status and needs.
  2. Respond to call lights and attend to/report patient needs.
  3. Collect and transport specimens to designated areas.
  4. Transfer, move, and reposition patients as needed.
  5. Record patient vital signs, including heart rate, pulse, temperature, and blood pressure.
  6. Assist physicians and nurses during medical examinations and treatments.
  7. Maintain patient rooms and ensure a clean and safe environment.
  8. Stay up-to-date with knowledge and certification requirements.
  9. Participate in all required safety training programs and understand their role in maintaining a safe work environment.
  10. Respect and maintain the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and colleagues to ensure a professional and courteous atmosphere.
  11. Adhere to facility Standards of Behavior and complete all required education assignments within the designated timeframe.
