Occupational Therapy Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at TMC in Alexandria, LA. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation and care of patients with various physical, mental, or emotional conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute therapeutic plans under the supervision of an occupational therapist, teaching patients how to use adaptive equipment and engaging them in activities crucial to their recovery and improvement.
  • Contribute to the planning and selection of therapeutic activities tailored to individual needs and interests, applying creative and practical approaches to meet therapeutic objectives.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, observing changes in performance and behavior, and adjusting therapy interventions accordingly.
  • Provide education to patients and their families about the therapy process, adaptive equipment, and home modifications, ensuring continued therapeutic practices at home.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current license/certification in the state of practice.
