TerraBella Hillsborough is seeking a skilled Care Giver/Medication Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities- Resident Care: Provide hands-on care, physical and emotional support to each resident, maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment.
- Observation and Reporting: Observe, report, and document symptoms and conditions of residents for changes in condition, such as skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary, and participation in activities.
- Security and Response: Respond promptly to security system and resident call bells, notifying supervisor and/or Health Care Coordinator if a resident has increased care needs.
- Medication Administration: Assist/observe medications and treatments for each resident, using the medication observation record and the Six Rights of Medication Pass.
- Documentation and Confidentiality: Document and initial forms as medications are given, maintaining confidentiality of all resident information, including resident medication.
- Team Collaboration: Engage with residents, management, and co-workers to provide exceptional customer service, handle multiple priorities, and demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Certifications: Certified Nurse's Aid certification preferred, Med tech certification.
- Education: High School diploma/GED.
- Experience: Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
- Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, superior customer service skills, ability to handle multiple priorities, and good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
