Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a skilled Activities Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for maintaining a balanced resident-centered activity program that promotes engagement, socialization, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, games, and outings, to cater to diverse resident interests and abilities.
- Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and maintain a comprehensive activity calendar that meets the needs of our residents.
- Support the recruitment and retention of volunteers to assist with activity programs.
- Review and document resident participation, feedback, and suggestions to inform future activity planning.
- Assist with the setup and execution of special events, such as holiday celebrations and themed activities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a senior living or healthcare setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
