About the Role

Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position that involves performing basic radiologic exams and venipuncture procedures. The ideal candidate will utilize radiation safety practices to provide high-quality examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiologic exams as ordered by physicians, adhering to department standard operating procedures.
  • Check requisitions for physician notes and/or special instructions, ensuring accurate and timely completion of exams.
  • Consult with radiologists or physicians as necessary to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Select proper technical factors on an individual patient basis, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Operate equipment as directed by the demands of individual exams, maintaining a high level of proficiency and efficiency.
  • Assist in maintaining adequate patient records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Obtain specimens and perform certain diagnostic laboratory tests as ordered by physicians, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare specimens for transport to medical centers or state labs for procedures not performed at the specific facility.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Successful completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Current registry with ARRT or ability to obtain registry within 6 months of hire date.
  • 1 year of experience preferred.
  • BLS required per policy guidelines.
