Job Title: PRN Radiology Technologist

At OrthoCarolina, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care and compassionate service. We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team on a part-time basis.

Job Summary:

The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for providing diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and/or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and usage of appropriate protection standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations and provide patient with radiation protection and safety in accordance with prescribed methods.
  • Clean and make minor adjustments to radiology equipment and ensure equipment is in working order and reports equipment malfunctions to Radiology Manager or designee.
  • Prepare copies of x-ray films/CD's for patients, tests, surgery and physicians as required.
  • Log radiological procedures completed, process charges and related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of examination rooms and stock necessary medical and/or radiological supplies in the department.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the American Medical Association.
  • Minimum of one year experience as an x-ray tech with an orthopedic background.
  • Registered Radiology Tech by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) or ARRT registry eligible.
Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to operate various manufacturer types of Radiology suite equipment.
  • Skill in proficient use of various manufacturer types of Digital Radiology (DR) and Computer Radiology (CR) reader systems.
  • Skill in identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor.
