About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Amergis. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by preparing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decontaminate and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to established standards and procedures.
  • Prepare and assemble instrument trays and packs for designated areas.
  • Operate bar code instrument tracking systems to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Work collaboratively with operating room personnel to ensure specialty trays are handled in the prescribed manner.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and materials, documenting usage, issuing, receiving, and reordering as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Certification as required by state regulations or contract specifications.
  • Certification for sterile processing technicians by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) or the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) may be required.
  • One (1) year of experience in sterile processing preferred.
