Job Title: Chief Information Officer - HLTH

This is a senior leadership position responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of the Department of Health's information technology (IT) operations. The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will lead the development and implementation of the department's IT vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the department's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the department's IT strategy, including the development of a comprehensive IT plan and budget.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of the department's IT operations, including the management of IT staff, vendors, and contractors.
  • Collaborate with departmental stakeholders to identify and prioritize IT projects and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including vendors, contractors, and other government agencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and make recommendations for their adoption and implementation.
Requirements:
  • At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in IT, with a strong background in strategic planning, IT operations, and leadership development.
  • Proven track record of success in leading IT teams and implementing IT strategies that drive business outcomes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex IT issues and develop effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in IT, business, or a related field.
  • ITIL certification or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks and tools.
  • Experience with cloud computing and other emerging technologies.
