Overview:
Springhill Suites by Marriott is in search of an enthusiastic Front Desk Agent to join our vibrant hotel team. The compensation for this role ranges from $12 to $13 per hour, depending on experience. Candidates must possess flexible availability, including evenings and weekends. Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests with a warm and genuine greeting, ensuring to maintain eye contact and use a positive tone.
- Utilize operational and sales strategies to optimize occupancy rates and ensure staff members do the same.
- Provide accurate information about hotel amenities and services, promoting them effectively.
- Manage cash transactions in accordance with accounting protocols.
- Communicate effectively with the Front Office and other departments, staying informed about hotel operations.
- Attend scheduled meetings and report any concerns or suggestions to management.
- Follow safety and security protocols, responding appropriately to emergencies and addressing hazards promptly.
- Handle front office technology, including telephones and computer systems, proficiently.
- Facilitate the registration process for guests, confirming details such as payment methods and stay duration.
- Ensure proper filing and retrieval of registration documents.
Work Schedule: Full-time positions available, requiring a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of prior experience as a Front Desk Agent in a recognized hotel brand is required.
