Job Overview

This full-time position operates Monday through Thursday, with shifts from 5:30am to 4:00pm or 6:00am to 4:30pm. Eligible candidates may receive quarterly production bonuses, currently set at $1000.

This role involves handling information or hardware that falls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must qualify as U.S. persons as defined by ITAR, which includes U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders), Political Asylees, or Refugees.

Key Responsibilities

The Electronics Testing Specialist will perform a variety of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical evaluations on electronic systems, subassemblies, and components to ensure compliance with specifications or to diagnose unit failures through the following tasks:

Core Duties:

Interpret test schedules, work orders, manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to establish testing protocols and required equipment. Assess functional performance of systems, subassemblies, and components under specified environmental conditions, including temperature variations, vibration, pressure, and humidity. Calibrate testing instruments according to established specifications. Monitor dials or digital displays indicating electronic characteristics such as voltage, frequency, distortion, inductance, and capacitance. Analyze test outcomes on defective units to identify failure causes. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production teams regarding testing methodologies and results to address issues. Develop test equipment setups to evaluate performance and operation of nonstandard or customer-returned units.

Qualifications:

An associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution; or one to three years of relevant experience and training; or a combination of education and experience. Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as safety protocols, testing procedures, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Competent in performing necessary calculations to develop, implement, and assess testing processes and product performance against specifications. Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Access, and Word. IPC610D Class III Solder Certificate; expired certificates are acceptable. Consistent and reliable attendance record. Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting for cross-training and discussions on operational matters. Initiative in learning and adapting work methods to complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. Frequent walking up and down stairs. Regular communication through speaking and listening. Frequent use of hands for handling or feeling objects. Regular use of arms to reach. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
