Deaf Education Specialist

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Deaf Education and experience working with students who have hearing impairments. The Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will work closely with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that students have the support and resources necessary to succeed academically and socially. Key responsibilities include providing individualized instruction, developing and implementing lesson plans, utilizing a variety of communication methods, and advocating for the needs and rights of students with hearing impairments. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or a related field, certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in California, and proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods.
