Key Responsibilities

  • Calculate the comprehensive costs of materials, equipment, utilities, and labor associated with electrical construction projects.
  • Examine electrical project documentation and interpret specifications.
  • Develop estimates for the planning, organization, and scheduling of electrical project tasks.
  • Manage pre-qualification and pre-bid documentation submissions.
  • Prepare estimates that align with project timelines, including setting work hours, sequencing tasks, procuring materials, and negotiating favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all estimates adhere to company policies and client specifications.
  • Submit relevant documents and budgets prior to bid deadlines.
  • Provide regular updates to management and clients regarding project progress.
  • Formulate contingency strategies and effectively manage potential risks that could affect cost and time estimates.
  • Stay informed about the latest estimating technologies and industry practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments and conduct site assessments as necessary.
Qualifications and Educational Background
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical estimating.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field or completion of a postsecondary electrician training program is advantageous.
  • Experience in the construction industry is essential.
  • Familiarity with Intellibid software is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Compensation

Salary range: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00
