Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement stormwater management plans and programs to protect the city's lakes, canals, and wetlands.
  • Conduct inspections and investigations to identify and address environmental issues related to stormwater runoff.
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide education and outreach to the public on stormwater management and environmental issues.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports related to stormwater management and environmental compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in environmental science or a related field.
  • Knowledge of stormwater management principles and practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ArcGIS software.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to stormwater management.
  • Ability to operate a motorized boat.
