Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients upon arrival and assist with the check-in process.
  • Conduct patient interviews to complete necessary insurance and privacy documentation.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, cancellations, and physician referrals.
  • Respond to phone inquiries regarding insurance and payment options, directing calls to the appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records by reviewing and updating information to ensure correct billing and data entry.
  • Perform various clerical duties to support the operational needs of the practice.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a similar role or related field is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing a positive experience for patients.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficient in using office equipment, including computers, telephones, and fax machines.
  • Familiarity with patient scheduling systems and electronic medical records is a plus.

Work Schedule: This position offers a part-time schedule of 30-34 hours per week, with no evening or weekend shifts required. Typical hours are scheduled between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM, four days a week.
