Access Dubuque is looking for a dedicated Patient Service Representative to join our team. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our healthcare facility, where you will be responsible for a variety of clerical tasks that support our daily functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients upon arrival and assist with the check-in process.
- Conduct patient interviews to complete necessary insurance and privacy documentation.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, cancellations, and physician referrals.
- Respond to phone inquiries regarding insurance and payment options, directing calls to the appropriate personnel as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records by reviewing and updating information to ensure correct billing and data entry.
- Perform various clerical duties to support the operational needs of the practice.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in a similar role or related field is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing a positive experience for patients.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficient in using office equipment, including computers, telephones, and fax machines.
- Familiarity with patient scheduling systems and electronic medical records is a plus.
Work Schedule: This position offers a part-time schedule of 30-34 hours per week, with no evening or weekend shifts required. Typical hours are scheduled between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM, four days a week.
