Patient Care Associate

Norton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Patient Care Associate to join our team in the Acute Specialty Care Unit. As a Patient Care Associate, you will provide direct patient care under the direction of licensed nursing staff, ensuring safe and quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and skin care.
- Support patients with ambulation, transfers, and turns, promoting mobility and independence.
- Maintain a clean and orderly patient environment, adhering to infection prevention protocols.
- Notify clinical staff of any changes in patient condition or safety concerns.
- Apply infection control concepts and techniques to prevent the spread of infection.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition, activities, behaviors, and safety concerns using computerized documentation systems.
- Take vital signs and perform phlebotomy (blood draws) and glucose checks, as needed.
