About the Role

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Health Information Specialist to join our team at CIOX Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing medical record requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as HIPAA regulations.
  • Inform manager of work difficulties and/or fluctuating volumes.
  • Assist with additional work duties or responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to commute between locations as needed.
  • Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Previous production/metric-based work experience.
  • In-person customer service experience.
Working Conditions

Work is generally performed in an office environment with minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. Must have the ability to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach horizontally and vertically for overhead use, and use a telephone or headset equipment.
