Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse will provide direct services to children, adolescents, and their families, including evaluation and assessment, medication management, psychotherapy, and education. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a passion for delivering high-quality care.
Essential Duties:
1. Evaluate and manage clients through direct care encounters, including prescription and management of medication, order and interpretation of labs, and education to clients and families.
2. Update treatment plans weekly and complete documentation according to established standards.
3. Collaborate with Psychiatrists regarding shared cases and treatment teams, and provide cross-coverage to Psychiatry team cases as needed.
4. Assist with patient admissions, including initial evaluations and initial assessment documentation, and provide collateral/liaison contact to patient families and outpatient providers.
5. Complete discharge recommendation assessments as part of collaborative discharge summaries and maintain requirements of Physician Collaborative Agreements.
Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, Board Certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, licensed in the state in which you are applying, and a minimum of two years experience working with adolescents.
