FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Position Summary: Under general supervision, contribute to the production line to construct manufactured housing as part of a collaborative team, ensuring quality output in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Executing all manual tasks in the designated area.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Utilizing a tape measure accurately.
  • Interpreting blueprints and work orders.
  • Effectively communicating with team members.
  • Employing hand tools, pneumatic tools, and electric tools as required.

Required Skills:

  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently and methodically.
  • Understanding of safety protocols.
  • Excellent teamwork capabilities.
  • Adherence to Champion Operating Principles.

Qualifications:

  • Less than a high school diploma; or up to one month of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or modular housing is preferred.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and communicate verbally. The employee frequently walks, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
