Job Title: After School Program Staff

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic After School Program Staff to join our team. As a key member of our program, you will be responsible for creating a safe, healthy, and fun environment for children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities.
  • Provide a positive role model for children in the program and communicate daily with parents and family members via the Playground App.
  • Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
  • Perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing (for certain positions).

Requirements:

  • 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience working with children under 13 (not required, but preferred).
  • Pass a background check, including fingerprinting, references, SEL & SCR through NYS Office of Children and Family Services.
  • Medically fit to perform job duties and free of any communicable diseases, including TB.
  • Warm, friendly, and upbeat, with exceptional people skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and perform other physical tasks as needed.
