Job Title: Before and After School Program Staff

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Before and After School Program Staff member. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a safe, healthy, and fun environment for children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
  • Provide a positive role model for children in the program and communicate daily with parents and family members via the Playground App.
  • Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
  • Perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing for certain positions.

Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • While having 1 year of experience working with children under 13 is preferred, it is not a requirement. We believe in potential and passion.
  • You must be able to pass a background check, including fingerprinting, references, SEL & SCR through NYS Office of Children and Family Services.
  • You must be medically fit to perform all job duties and free of any communicable diseases, including TB.
  • You must be warm, friendly, and upbeat, with exceptional people skills, whether it's with children, parents, or fellow team members.
  • You must be able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with children.
