Port Technology Security Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Port Technology Security Lead to join our team at the Port of Tacoma, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing access, identifying suspicious activity, and recommending solutions to reduce risk and prevent cyberattacks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee access to the Port's technology infrastructure, identifying and mitigating potential security risks.
  • Partner with other IT teams to ensure best practices are followed for network security, system security, and application security.
  • Develop and implement incident response plans to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Perform risk assessments and provide recommendations for remediation efforts to mitigate potential security threats.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible cybersecurity experience in risk management, governance, audit, and compliance.
  • Experience working with NIST CSF 1.1 or greater is preferred.
  • Current professional IT security certifications (e.g., CCSP, CEH, CISM, CISSP, CompTIA Security+/CySA+).

The estimated salary range for this position is $118,646 - $139,584 per year.
