Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, install, and test hydraulic cranes, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to safety standards.
  • Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform inspections, troubleshoot breakdowns, and conduct preventative maintenance to keep crane systems operating smoothly.
  • Operate forklifts, hand trucks, man lifts, and other production equipment, ensuring safe and efficient use.
  • Service or repair mechanical equipment as required, using advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
  • Document service and installation actions, completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and ANSI standards, as well as Techcrane's Quality Management System.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Control non-conforming products, working closely with the Assembly Shop Foreman, Production Manager, and Engineering team to resolve issues.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including service calls as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 3-4 years of mechanical experience required, with a focus on hydraulics and heavy equipment.
  • Competency in system pressure, hydraulic pumps, and motors, as well as basic knowledge of electrical hook-ups.
  • Crane Operator and Rigger Licenses required, with a minimum of 50 and 100 hours of experience, respectively.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for service calls.
Work Environment

This role will spend the majority of time in the assembly shop, with some time in the warehouse. The noise level will range from moderate to very loud, and the work environment may involve hazardous materials, fumes, moving parts/equipment, electrical shock risk, extreme heat, and extreme cold.
