Job Title: Maintenance Technician II

Join Sylvan Road Capital LLC as a Maintenance Technician II and contribute to the maintenance of our single-family residential properties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repairs, addressing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues, and ensuring the physical condition of our properties meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently handle a variety of repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues.
  • Perform repairs to a high standard of quality, adhering to company operating and safety standards.
  • Adhere to all fleet and driving policies, ensuring safe and efficient transportation to and from job sites.
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols, creating and maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and others.
  • Provide guidance and support to Maintenance Tech I roles, as needed.
  • Oversee and coordinate larger Maintenance, Turns, and Renovation projects.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, internal and external customers, in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform inspection work and other tasks for Property Management and Legal, as required.
  • Interact with external parties on behalf of Sylvan Road Capital LLC, as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all repair, maintenance, and project tasks.
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines, prioritizing tasks and working with a sense of urgency.
  • Maintain vehicle inventory of tools and supplies, adhering to purchasing and authorized buyer policies and procedures.
  • Complete work and repairs to quality standards, documenting all work in technology tools and systems.
  • Perform work according to the schedule, meeting productivity standards.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Skilled in household maintenance, with multi or single-family experience required.
  • Understanding and ability to utilize powered and non-powered tools to complete repairs.
  • Must possess own hand tools.
  • Lift over 50 lbs. as part of daily function.
  • NATE HVAC certification preferred.
  • EPA 608 Certification - Universal or Type1 and Type 2 required.
  • Must be able to work in environmentally and physically challenging working conditions.
  • Valid Driver's License and insurance, which must be maintained during employment.
  • Must live in and maintain an address in the required zone(s) where hired.
