Job Summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Nurse Residency Program: Progressive Care Track. As a Nurse Resident, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic environment.

About the Program

Our Nurse Residency Program is designed to provide new graduate nurses with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The program includes a comprehensive curriculum, peer support, and preceptor-led clinical experiences. Upon completion, participants will have built a strong foundation for nursing practice and be well-prepared to take on the challenges of a nursing career.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in a comprehensive curriculum that includes lecture, simulation education, and peer support
  • Complete preceptor-led clinical experiences on our intermediate or transitional level step-down units
  • Develop critical thinking, evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, effective communication, quality and safety, and professional development skills
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Graduating from an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred)
  • BLS certification required
  • Less than 12 months of nursing experience by the start of the program
  • Eligible for Delaware license as a Graduate Nurse/Registered Nurse or RN license from a compact state
