About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including shelving, displays, and animal habitats.
  • Assist with various tasks, such as stocking, scanning, and facing shelves, as well as cleaning and maintaining animal equipment and habitats.
  • Process customer transactions, handle returns and exchanges, and maintain accurate cash handling and counting procedures.
  • Participate in on-site training and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Retail experience and basic animal knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills, organizational abilities, and basic math skills required.
  • Ability to stand, move, bend, and reach up to 50+ pounds, as well as work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including keyboard functions and Microsoft programs.
Working Conditions
  • Full-time position, working over 30 hours per week.
  • Seasonal changes may affect store temperature, and employees should dress accordingly.
  • On-site training provided.

Pay starts at $11 per hour, with opportunities for promotion and yearly raises. Benefits include paid time off, employee discounts, and health benefits after 90 days. Weekend availability required. This is an in-person position located at 5546 Fenton Rd, Flint, MI 48507.
