Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as an Engineering Intern at ENGEO. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in geotechnical engineering consulting, working on real-world projects and collaborating with our experienced team members.

Internship Goals

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of geotechnical engineering consulting
  • Develop skills in office, laboratory, and field work
  • Build relationships with our team members and gain valuable industry insights
  • Contribute to the success of our projects and make a meaningful impact

Structure

As an intern, you will split your time between office and field work, with the opportunity to spend up to one week in one of our soil labs. You will be supported by a Servant Leader, Go-To buddy, technical leaders, project managers, and others to help you have a successful internship experience.

Field (as scheduled TBD on availability)

  • Observe performance and natural state of earth materials
  • Understand how designs are implemented in the field
  • Gain an appreciation for large-scale construction projects

Office (Design/Analysis)

  • Put together knowledge of construction materials on 'micro' and 'macro' scale into engineering analysis and design
  • Assist technical staff in a variety of roles
  • Drafting, calculations, cross-sections, developing lab programs, boring logs, report preparation

Experience and Skills:

We are looking for a candidate with a strong interest in geotechnical engineering, preferably with a background in civil engineering or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a good academic standing, access to a vehicle for the summer, and a clean driving record. We also require proof of vehicle insurance and a valid driver's license. Additionally, the candidate should be able to manage themselves and be looking to be lead in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
