Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled RF Test and Development Engineer or Principal RF Test and Development Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Manufacturing Operations Test Engineering Team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing testing methods and equipment, as well as troubleshooting and supporting RF and digital hardware.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop testing methods and equipment to ensure high-quality product delivery
  • Troubleshoot and support RF and digital hardware to identify and resolve issues
  • Support First Time Through Test Yield (FTTTY) and hardware deliveries to meet program yield targets
  • Analyze test data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Compile data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements
  • Collaborate with design engineering to develop and implement hardware improvements and solutions
  • Support technicians through troubleshooting and training
  • Monitor product yields and maintain program yield targets
  • Support program meetings to report yield issues, yield detractor investigation findings, and corrective actions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field, plus 2 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field, plus 0 years of experience
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics, and block diagrams
  • Experience with RF hardware and software, as well as RF test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
  • Current, active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and guidance
  • Experience with FPGA, LabWindows CVI, C/C++ programming, TestStand programming, and proficiency with digital, analog, RF test equipment, RF theory, and high-speed digital
  • Familiarity with differential digital interfaces, such as LVDS, and experience with PXI/PXIe and VME bus
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical hardware
What We Offer

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $83,300 - $124,900, with a salary range 2 of $102,400 - $153,600. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. We also offer a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
