About the Role

The General Manager is a key leadership position responsible for the financial and operational performance of Sports Facilities Management, LLC. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in daily P&L management and budget oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the ice arena and convention center
  • Analyze operations to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Appoint department heads and assign responsibilities
  • Establish departmental responsibilities and coordinate functions
  • Confer with ownership and staff members to discuss issues and resolve problems
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of budgetary control systems
  • Direct and coordinate financial and budget activities
  • Direct human resources activities, including selection and establishment of departments
  • Implement policies, objectives, and activities to ensure continuing operations and maximize returns
Requirements
  • Prior responsibility in daily P&L management and budget oversight of $1MM or greater
  • Proven management and leadership experience in the food and beverage, recreational, and entertainment industry
  • Operational knowledge of F&B, entertainment, and sport clubs
  • Prior experience in contracting or overseeing others who have sold corporate sponsorships and related services
  • Prior experience managing marketing programs
  • A minimum of 7 years of management experience
  • Operational knowledge of risk management
  • Sports programming and sports event operations expertise required
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, sports management, marketing, hospitality, or related field
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
  • Ability to travel to national events and regionally by car
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high
  • Will be required to sit for extended periods of time operating a computer
  • Will be required to conduct venue tours
