Position Overview

As a licensed pharmacy technician, you will be responsible for preparing, compounding, and dispensing medication orders and prescriptions under the direct oversight of a registered pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with clerical tasks related to the pharmacy department
  • Receive and organize incoming inventory
  • Check stock levels and input data into the system to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Engage effectively with customers
  • Perform a variety of duties as needed
  • Report to a supervisor or manager
  • Carry out additional related tasks as assigned
  • Familiarize yourself with standard practices and procedures in the pharmacy field
  • Utilize experience and judgment to achieve objectives
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance as a fundamental job function
  • Demonstrate competence in addressing the specific needs of patients served

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Must possess a Certified Pharmacy Technician license from the appropriate regulatory board
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician is required
  • Proficient in computer skills, including data entry and keyboarding
  • BLS certification is required; must have current certification from recognized providers

Work Environment

  • Ability to lift or move items weighing up to 25 lbs
  • Must be capable of maintaining a standing position for extended periods
  • Utilize standard equipment typically found in a clinical setting
  • Ability to stoop, crouch, or bend as necessary
