We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and laboratories.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood specimens from patients using a variety of techniques, including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
- Prepare and process blood specimens for testing, including labeling, centrifuging, and aliquoting.
- Operate laboratory equipment, including centrifuges and microscopes.
- Maintain accurate records of specimen collection and processing.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- One year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
