Job Overview

The Shuttle Driver DOT will be responsible for the safe operation of shuttle buses, transporting passengers with efficiency, safety, and precision. This role requires a valid CDL Class A, B or C Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement, as well as a Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional client and customer experiences, answering questions, offering directions, and ensuring positive interactions.
  • Perform vehicle inspections, maintain bus cleanliness, fueling, and logging trip counts.
  • Assist disabled passengers and possess a thorough knowledge of major streets, landmarks, and freeways.
  • Communicate debris, water, oil spills, and other hazards to the garage office.
  • Substitute for Cashiers or Valets when necessary, if authorized.
  • Have a neat and clean appearance, maintaining a complete uniform at all times.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

Less than High School education or one month related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A valid state-issued driver's license and a DMV record free from major infractions.

Ability to read, comprehend simple instructions, and present information effectively.

Mathematical skills to perform basic arithmetic operations.

A physical presence capable of standing, walking, using hands, and occasionally lifting 75 pounds.
