Job Title: Direct Service Professional

MBI Health Services, LLC is seeking dedicated individuals to work with adults and children who have serious mental illness and disabilities as Direct Service Professionals.

Job Summary

We provide professional mental health services to over 3,000 consumers in our mental health programs. Our goal is to embrace, advocate, and empower the minds and lives of men, women, and children.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
  • Ensure a safe environment for the consumer and provide companionship in their home.
  • Accompany consumers on community outings, recreational, and leisure activities.
  • Help with meal preparation and conduct light housekeeping.
  • Conduct monthly fire drills and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
  • Assist with other care-giver duties as needed to support the consumer.
Qualifications
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a high school diploma or general equivalency development (GED) certificate.
  • Certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and obtain CPR certification annually.
  • Complete Phase I and II orientation training approved by DDA.
  • Meet the minimum training and qualifications of a personal care aide, as set forth in Section 938 of Chapter 9 of Title 29 DCMR.
