Job Responsibilities

As a Mammography Technologist PRN, you will be responsible for:

  • Directing daily activities within the department
  • Facilitating employee orientation and training
  • Performing area-specific QA/QC procedures
  • Performing radiographic procedures in accordance with the ALARA concept
  • Assisting physicians with radiographic procedures
  • Maintaining patient records via appropriate systems
  • Performing patient care functions in a safe environment
  • Adhering to hospital and departmental policies and procedures
  • Substantiating status of good standing with state and national licensing/credentialing agencies
  • Interacting effectively with all customers
  • Assisting staff and students in the performance of radiographic procedures and associated duties
  • Participating in the evaluation of staff and students as needed
  • Assisting with the transportation of patients and maintaining work areas
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A certificate of completion or degree from an accredited radiography program
  • A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, with biennial completion of minimum required CE credits to maintain required certification/accreditation
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensure by the NJDEPE and credentialing in radiography and mammography by the ARRT
  • Current ARRT and NJ-RADTECH licenses
  • CPR certification
