Job Summary

As an Interventional Radiology Technologist PRN at Cooper University Health Care, you will assist interventionalists in procedures within the scope of interventional Radiology and Vascular surgery. This includes oncology, vascular, and trauma cases. You will be responsible for maintaining a skill set to handle supplies and instrumentation associated with interventional procedures. Additionally, you will assist physicians in the capacity of both a scrub and circulating technologist.

Responsibilities

Assist interventionalists in procedures within the scope of interventional Radiology and Vascular surgery
Maintain a skill set to handle supplies and instrumentation associated with interventional procedures
Assist physicians in the capacity of both a scrub and circulating technologist
Maintain work area, reporting maintenance issues for equipment and monitoring supplies and deficiencies
Adhere to all Infection Prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed
Maintain licensure and BLS, staying current and participating in departmental training offered
Demonstrate courteous behavior, positive attitude, etc. through polite communication with all coworkers/customers
Understand and appreciate the need to provide good customer service, both internal and external
Participate in clinical activities, assisting with patient flow/care and helping to optimize throughput of patients via Radiology Transport
Remain compliant of timekeeping rules, avoiding early, late, and unauthorized entries
Adhere to Departmental procedures, fulfilling compliance with life safety, fire, and hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, and Infection Prevention requirements
Attend staff meetings and reviews daily huddles to keep current on department communications

Requirements

1-2 year of Interventional Radiology or Cardiovascular Interventional Technology preferred
Graduate of AMA approved program for Diagnostic Radiology and therefore registry eligible
NJ DEP license required upon hire
Current BLS
Current ARRT - American Registry Radiology Tech License
Current NJ-RADTECH - NJ Radiology Tech License
