Job Summary

The Medical Assistant works collaboratively with other medical professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. This role involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of a physician, performing specific services to meet the personal needs and comforts of patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the direction of a physician
  • Perform specific services to meet the personal needs and comforts of patients
  • Support the mission and values of WakeMed
  • Meet the requirements for registration/certification with one of the following organizations: American Academy of Medical Assistants, American Medical Technologists, American Registry of Medical Assistants, or the National Center for Competency Testing
Requirements
  • 2 Years Clinical - Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Graduate Medical Assisting preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant required within 24 months of hire; Registered Medical Assistant required within 24 months of hire
Work Schedule

Monday to Thursday: 7a-5p, Friday: 7a-3p

Weekend and Call Requirements

No weekends; no call requirements
