Job SummaryThe Medical Assistant works collaboratively with other medical professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. This role involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of a physician, performing specific services to meet the personal needs and comforts of patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care under the direction of a physician
- Perform specific services to meet the personal needs and comforts of patients
- Support the mission and values of WakeMed
- Meet the requirements for registration/certification with one of the following organizations: American Academy of Medical Assistants, American Medical Technologists, American Registry of Medical Assistants, or the National Center for Competency Testing
- 2 Years Clinical - Medical Assistant experience preferred
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Graduate Medical Assisting preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant required within 24 months of hire; Registered Medical Assistant required within 24 months of hire
Monday to Thursday: 7a-5p, Friday: 7a-3p
Weekend and Call RequirementsNo weekends; no call requirements
