Job Summary

As a Neurodiagnostic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing electroencephalograph (EEG) and other neurodiagnostic examinations according to physician's orders under the supervision of the department manager. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and quality of these examinations, and you will work closely with our healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receives and records physician's orders for patient testing, schedules patients, and obtains patient medical history.
  • Prepares patients for procedures, explains the procedure, measures for accurate electrode sites, applies electrodes, and adjusts as necessary.
  • Performs electroencephalograph (EEG) exams and may perform other neurodiagnostic exams as directed.
  • Maintains equipment and makes minor adjustments as indicated.
  • Ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications.
  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, and supports department-based goals.
  • Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years directly related experience or an Associate's degree in Neurodiagnostic Technologies; in lieu of two (2) years' experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
