Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to join our team at Mozaic Senior Life. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and conducting therapeutic recreation activities to enhance the sensory motor, cognitive, and psychosocial skills of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement group activities and one-to-one sessions to meet the unique needs of our residents.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of resident assessments, progress notes, and attendance records.
  • Collaborate with the care team to input MDS/care plan data and attend RCP meetings.
  • Transport residents to and from activity areas, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, and notify the Coordinator of any needs.
  • Drive Mozaic vehicles as required for outings, and participate in staff meetings.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities, mentor residents, and engage them in recreation programs.
  • Demonstrate the ability to facilitate group process and manage interpersonal needs.
  • Assess and document resident needs and progress.
  • Participate in resident community outings, ensuring their safety.
  • Maintain necessary credentials to provide Music Therapy to residents.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy, TRD, or Certified.
  • No experience necessary.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to utilize various software packages.
