Job Summary

GeorgiaGov is seeking a Part-Time Social Service Provider to provide rehabilitation counseling services, referral services, and resident evaluation to assigned clients. This is a 29 hour per week position that requires less than 30 hours per week and is not eligible for benefits.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform and/or direct intake services to youth, including mental health screening and ensuring all intake screenings are completed within time guidelines.
  2. Direct or complete mental health assessments of youth, including interviewing, contacting other healthcare professionals, and reviewing youth's records.
  3. Provide therapeutic counseling to individuals, groups, or families to effect positive change in the youth's behavior and/or social situations.
  4. Lead or participate as a member of a treatment team to identify youths strengths, resources, symptoms, and psychological challenges to develop and monitor an effective plan of treatment.
  5. Prepare and submit required reports and other documentation, including accurate reports as required by departmental policies and local operating procedures.
  6. Engage in clinical supervision to facilitate development of clinical knowledge, skills, and professional integrity of mental health services provided to youth.
Qualifications

A Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university in one of the following areas: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a directly related field is required. Preference will be given to applicants who possess a Master's degree in a mental health field from an accredited college or university and are eligible for licensure by the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists.
