Product Specialist

The Product Line Specialist role at Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials is a key position that enables profitable growth of the ES&S products in the Americas region. This role works closely with product management, commercial, and operational teams to support portfolio management, including product positioning and development. The Product Line Specialist focuses on activities to deliver impact, progress, and results, with a strong emphasis on analytical reports, evaluation, and recommendations to Product Line Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement product line strategies, including sales development and growth plans, P&L/CM2, important capex and technology projects, current and future technology developments, raw material strategy, and M&A plans.
Improve product line results (COI/CM2) and conversion cost.
Manage the life cycle of products and manage pipeline projects, leading and driving the launch of new products from R&D to marketing/sales and manufacturing in the regions.
Review monthly import reports for trends relative to ES&S and support global capacity utilization and capacity extension plans across regions.
Drive programs that enhance service and help meet working capital goals.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' experience working in cross-functional teams, with a combination of various roles including sales, application development, technology/R&D, supply chain operations, S&OP, and finance.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Confident and highly effective influencer with a hands-on, pragmatic way of working.
Strong ability to balance multiple important projects simultaneously and lead them to successful outcomes in a timely manner.
Strategic thinker with experience in defining, implementing, and managing product portfolio and management strategies in a global company.
Good understanding of engineering plastics and the key markets where they are used.
Strong change management experience and skilled at supporting and guiding teams through change transformation.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization while being able to influence teams and individuals not reporting to the BLM.
What We Offer:
Mitsubishi Chemical Group offers a competitive salary range of $69,595 - $86,995, with factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations influencing base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment according to a specific city and state, if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
