Position Overview
As a Sales Associate at Rack Room Shoes, you will embody the company's commitment to exceptional customer service. Your primary responsibilities will include achieving sales targets and adhering to company policies while leading by example for your fellow team members. You will work collaboratively to create an inviting shopping environment, ensuring that both the store and its merchandise are presented in the best possible manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver an outstanding shopping experience by following company service standards. Maintain a positive demeanor and be well-informed to assist customers effectively.
- Stay updated on current promotions and sales initiatives.
- Ensure merchandise is well-organized and visually appealing. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the store.
- Develop and enhance product knowledge and fitting skills to assist customers accurately.
- Be vigilant regarding Loss Prevention issues that may arise with customers and staff.
- Assist in inventory management, including shipping and receiving of merchandise, and help with product placement on the sales floor as necessary.
- Process transactions accurately at the POS terminal, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Engage effectively with customers, fellow Sales Associates, Store Management, and District/Regional Managers.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with customers and colleagues at all levels. Basic communication, organizational, and mathematical skills are essential. Previous experience in retail sales, particularly in specialty retail or footwear, is preferred. Familiarity with company policies and procedures, as well as visual merchandising standards, is advantageous.
